Student Transfer - Scenario: Body Thief 2.7 Expansion
Featuring Fate/Grand Transfer Story line!

So as some of you know... this Blog is generally focused around Body Swap captions and part of those captions were Anime ones... which don't worry... I do intend to continue... at some point... soon... hopefully.
And well... to tell you the truth... I had always wants to introduce a Fate Body Swap Caption as well, using maybe Prisma Illya, but that idea never took off and the draft still sits in my caption folder.
Then I discovered Student Transfer (Game can be found here: Student Transfer) and then it dawned on me, that maybe... I could write a Body Swap story through a game and more importantly... a Fate Story and thus Fate/Grand Order was born.
The Student Transfer Route... the Body Thief Story I will continue to flesh out once I managed to wrap my head around my own story... but for the Fate Route the beginning in the same.

Also please remember to comment, I'm also very conflicted with the idea of Patreon because I am paranoid and 99% certain this is infringing on a lot of stuff, but hey... at least I produced a fan parody game/story.
Also I would appreciate it, if you guys would watch the Opening and the Ending that is inserted into the route. Please also brace yourself, the story should last around 2 hours worth of reading/game play.
You can skip the additional scenes, but for the full experience please go through it all and let me know what you all thought of it.
How to Get onto the Fate Route:
Once you hit the Day 1, School Entrance Scene. Please select the End of the World option and progress onto the Fate Route. This route is linear with a few side stories that branches back into the story. Please avoid skipping the story and try to play through it normally.
(It will reduce errors)
How to Install:
1: Download and unzip the game.
2: Delete the existing Body Thief Scenario
3: Copy, Paste and Replace the new one into Scenario Folder
4: (Optional) Rename the Folder from Body Thief Ver 2.0 to just Body Thief
5: (Recommended) To avoid errors, make sure you don't delete anything from ZeBestes Characters
Patch Note and Fixes
- The Jennifer clash has been resolved.
(If you deleted Jennifer from Zebeste's file, you will need to restore her)
- Added new Characters, Music, BG, SFX, Assets, Movies and expanded the Story
(I wrote over 3200 lines with roughly 26,500 words/175,000 characters... so please don't just rip my content, I will honestly cry...)
- New Fate Route covering the Fuyuki Arc
(That's right... I already drafted Orlean's... there will be more in the future!)

Additional Comment: I have created a new cast of characters which will be introduce into the Student Transfer later on. There will be a lot more 'Powers' and will feature a variety of characters with ability... and TIME TRAVEL!!!

Very well made! I liked it a lot. I never expected a crossover between Fate and Student Transfer, so I'm interested to see where you go with this.

I downloaded student transfer only edition, I got it downloaded unzipped it put it on my desktop and now when I go to the game to install the scenario I click on the scenario.json but it tells me that it's not a scenario package I'm stuck. The student transfer side of things is incomplete it will be gradually expanded but since I never had a end goal, it was just a write ad you go along story... whilst Fate was a I have an end goal in mind.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad that I've watched some of the Fate/ anime. Otherwise I would surely be lost in all the characters, terms and motivations.
In future, could you implemetn perhaps more body swaps? Saber is sure cool and seeing the corruption was amusing, but I would just switch with someone else at the end if I were "John". I was honestly expecting that "John" would swap bodies with Rin and command her servant.
Anyway, keep up a good work. I hope you'll do more of these (or SAO/Pokemon/Konosuba themes)

DeleteIt was a gruelling 3 months working on the story sinc3 I did everything myself.
The movie opening and ending sequence was something I really wanted to do, to make it a sort of anime feel
As for the more body swap, that is actually something I have been debating about.
Fun fact, there was actually going to be a Mashu Route, where instead of Olga Marie, John would possess Mashu and become Shielder and a servant to Ritsuka/Yuni and then maybe... he would possess other servants and fight for them but then this sort of delegates John as a Servant and that would then leave John having to fill in for Mashu role.
In the Olga Marie Route, this actually leads him down the path of becoming a antagonist and will be one of the main antagonist of my own Fate adaptation.
As for the body swap, I did consider on doing mass jumping but in the end I feel like it will make it too body hop cliche and I wanted to try writing something new and challenging.
I didn't want it to be a Body Hop comedy or a Body Hop convenience
As for the ending with John, I'm surprised nobody has commented what hell is going on in the epilogue of the game after the ending credits.
I will try to come up with something for the Konosuba, SAO and Pokemon captions.
As for the Run sprite... Yeah it was the best I could find... the other option was the original FSN sprite that is so old and badly drawn or her servant form.
Alternatively I could keep her off screen like Illya and Shirou and have her as a dialogue only character
There's an error on Fate path, Pose didn't found.
ReplyDeleteAvoid skipping scenes,you can fast forward but if you skip, you can end up missing swapping animation which will result in possible pose errors as game will think that x character is still x character and not the other character

The story will always fall back into something similar to FGO but at the same time there will be a number of changes to keep things fresh and interesting.

also here a few feedback i have: i really like john being a antagonist but i wish he was explore a bit more since the later in the story he just feel like normal villain with swap power which is fine but i wish he has a bit more depth since he originally protagonist and everything lol
Gaduko swap with Mash also really interesting chemistry it would be fun to see how Master/Summoning system work now or how servant interact with Master now
well I did consider on expanding his role but then there wasn't really that many space to expand upon John.

Either way, John didn't die. He is revealed to have survived through the body of Hassan of Serenity.
Indeed the FGO route really feels like a fanfic taken to the next level and I hope to see more in the near future.

ReplyDeletethis was a great fate game you made for PS it was well thought out and well made you really put alot of time into making this i can tell by reading it and know your fate lore as well. i loved how you only used the body hop a few time its show how much time and thinking you put into making this i also like how john was the main villain next to lev you should keep him that way it made it a fun fun you using him this way and as alder saber as well. i aslo like the ending with saber still in the body john but her in and her never being able to get back her body back now making her human again and her now able to live as olga in the FGO story your puting her as. so i give your story a 10/10 cause i can tell you have made a well made story with the amount of detail you put in this and getting the model to use must have toke alot of time as well to get to use in this as well as the music you used for it as well and knowing the lore too i look forward to your next work just wondering will you post your update on the ST discord.

As for the ST Discord, I didn't know they have one. I have posted it on their forums though. Also it seems those from the ST community want it to be more... ST related and more random body swaps... Which I plan to do with the ST scenario but it feels rather... cheap and dull to write and it becomes a pretty gag like story... with memes and tropes.
Orleans should be okay... but Septem I will prob's have to research so that I can write an improvement to that arc.

Feels like what happens when Fate Series decides to screw with everyone's expectations, and I can't wait to see things develop more, just hope you don't blow the information load all at once. I enjoied a bit of the mystery, and I admit at first I was skeptical of having no power in the story itself (as limited as the illusion was.) but I enjoyed the story.

He was... but then one thing lead to another and I didn't want to Studio Deen it and just tunnel vision on just John and Circe so as I focused on the expanded cast, John just became the villian. I will slip in more scenes for him but it will still be antagonist moments.
DeleteAt the end during the um Goetia chapter, John will have a very big moment, but for now... just think of him as a um... Thanos kind of character who is there but isn't playing a major role until the very end.
Since using this platform allows more freedom, do you think might adapt captions you've wanted to do but lacked the resources?

You can use that free section to transform John and hopefully Circe into various ST female characters to trick other ST characters. I hope you will put it somewhere in your scenario.

An idea of not wanting to return to John's original body is very interesting. I wonder what would most people do in such situation. It would be nice to see John picking new body after his old life is screwed. He would assume his victim's life and slowly change the previous body's social image to match his own personality. In case of Zoey, he would stop being so childish. He would be less intriguing as Sayaka, or more bold as Mina. You know, making new friends, buying clothes, spending vacation, apply for university or exchange program etc. In short, make himself a new life. Those are my wild thoughts though. Take an inspiration out of them if you wish.
As for Orleans, I'm still waiting for it with hope. I would like to see it because it's something totally different from other scenarios that take place in school.

DeleteIf you are doing a clean install of the scenario
Make sure you download 2.1 first, then rename it as Body Theft then take 2.3 and patched that over in by copy and pasting the folders inside 2.3 into the Body Theft scenario folder.

So ive downloaded both versions (2.1 and 2.3) and then put 2.3 (copy and pasted the folders) into the 2.1 folder that now is named Body Theft. The problem is i dont know how to download the actual scenario into Student transfer and would like help as to how to do it. Thx :)
